Poll Shows Fianna Fáil Remain Most Popular Party
An Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI poll has revealed that Fianna Fáil remains the most popular party in Ireland, holding on to the number 1 spot since February.
The same poll also shows that Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams is the most popular party leader.
The poll asked who people would vote for tomorrow if an election was called, the results showed:
• Fianna Fáil – 26%, no change
• Fine Gael – 24%, down one point
• Sinn Féin – 21%, up three
• Labour – 9%, down one
• Green Party – 2%, up one
• Independents/Others – 18%, down two

New Poll Shows Fine Gael Gains
A recent political opinion poll shows Fianna Fáil has had a significant fall in support, while Fine Gael has made gains. The 'Red C' poll has found half of all voters do not trust the Government to manage the public finance crisis, and shows Fianna Fáil at 36%, down four points since its last poll in June.

The Fine Gael party has claimed that a poll published today shows voters want to get Fianna Fail out of government. A poll conducted by the Irish Times shows support for the main government party is down to just 21%, with Fine Gael now on 38%. The Government's dissatisfaction rating has also hit a huge 86%.

McDonald Rejects Proposals For 'Excessive' Water Use Charge
Sinn Féin Vice President, Mary Lou McDonald, has rejected proposals by the Expert Commission to charge customers for 'excessive' waste usage. Speaking in the Dáil during Leaders' Questions today, 30 November, Teachta McDonald said imposing a levy would "inevitably lead to the introduction of across the board water charges in the future".
