RTÉ Continue To Pay Rent On Empty London Bureau

RTÉ's now empty London office has cost the broadcaster an estimated €65,000 in rent, in the nine moths since they closed it, the Irish Independent has reported.

RTÉ have maintained a lease on the 1,600sq ft property in central London since the last five staff left the premises last year. It was closed as part of efforts to reduce the broadcasters deficits of €50 million.

It is understood RTÉ's lease on the property will remain for another year, but they have yet to find and secure a tenant for the vacant building.
