ASAI Reject Complaints Over Car Advert

The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) has rejected complaints received over an advert for Hyundai Cars.

The ad, created by Havas Worldwide Dublin, showed a father on a camping trip with children, attempting to put out a tent which has caught fire, with the tag line: "Don't Tell Mom".

The complaints said that it was "inappropriate" to encourage children to withhold information from their parents, according to the Irish Independent.

However, the ASAI ruled that the advert was adult orientated, and no complaints had been lodged elsewhere.

The advert has been aired worldwide.
