Daughters Renew Appeal For Information On 1987 Murder
Two woman have renewed an appeal for information in relation to the murder of their mother 26 years ago.
In the early hours of July 12, 1987, Antoinette Smith was abducted, murdered and buried in the Dublin mountains. She was returning home from a David Bowie concert in Slane and was last seen on O'Connell Streetat around 02:15. She was 27-years-old.
Her body was found some eight months later on Glendoo Mountain in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.
Gardaí remain keen to speak to two men who were seen getting into a taxi with young woman on Westmoreland St and travelled to the Yellow House pub in Rathfarnham.
They also hope to speak to two men who were spotted in the Cruagh Wood area later that morning.
Antoinette's two daughters were just seven and four at the time of her disappearance.

Police Appeal During 'Carnage On Dublin’s Streets'
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to the second shooting incident in Dublin this week, as Fine Gael hit out at the "Carnage on Dublin's streets". Gardaí say they are keen to speak to anyone that may have seen a male described as being between 5ft 6 and 5ft 9 in height of medium build in his early to mid 20s.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Micheál Martin, has today condemned the paramilitary-style killing of a man on Wednesday night on the outskirts of Derry city. Today it emerged that, as initially suspected, dissident republican terrorists were behind the brutal murder of a man they claim was an informer for the Security Service (MI5).

Search Underway In 1997 Disappearance Investigation
A search operation is underway in Dundalk by garda investigating the 1997 disappearance of Ciara Breen. Ms Breen was last seen on 13 February, 1997. Dundalk Garda have begun searching "lands in the area". No further information is currently available, but garda said more details will be released later today.

Police Appeal For Information On 40 Year Old Murder
An investigation into the death of a teenager in 1973 has been reopened. The body of 18-year-old Marian Beattie was discovered on Friday 30 March, 1973, at the bottom of Hadden's Quarry between Aughnacloy and Ballygawley. Ms Beattie was last seen leaving a dance in Aughnacloy on the Friday with an unidentified man just after 1am.
