Man Shot Dead In Dublin This Morning
An investigation has been launched after a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in Dublin at around 10:30 this morning.
It has been reported that the shooting took place on open ground along a popular canal walkway at the junction of Suir Road and Davitt Road. The victims body was found by two woman.
Gardai have confirmed that the victim was known to them.
It is believed that the shooter made their escape in a car, found burnt out a short while after the incident.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the shooting or anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01-6669700, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any garda station.

Arrested Over Kilrush Body Find

Man Arrested In Connection With Cork Shooting Incident
Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a shooting incident two months ago in Cork. Diarmuid Byrne, 41, was fatally shot at a house on Plunkett Road, Ballyphehane on 26 April. The suspect, who is in his 40's, was arrested in the Cork area this morning, 01 June,. He is currently being detained at Togher Garda Station.

Two Arrested In Connection With Dean Johnson Murder
Two men in their 20's have been arrested in connection with the murder of Dean Johnson in Dublin in August. Mr Johnson was shot dead at Neilstown Road, Clondalkin. A number of searches were carried out by gardai in Ronanstown, Clondalkin, Cabra and Kilock and two males were arrested.

A man has been arrested after Gardaí seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €280,000 in Dublin on Thursday night. Gardaí found 4kg of the drug when they stopped a car on the Malahide Road shortly before 6:30pm yesterday evening. A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being held at Raheny Garda Station.

Stabbing In Limerick
A man has been stabbed in Limerick. The 21-year-old was found, suffering from a stab wound to the stomach, in Clarina Park in Ballincurra Weston, just after 1am on Wednesday morning. Gardaí said that the man was critically wounded in the attack, but was taken to hospital where he is now reported to be in a stable condition.
