'Defective' High-Vis Vests To Be Replaced
Some 200,000 "defective" high-visibility vests are to be replaced by the Road Safety Authority.
RSA Chief Executive Noel Brett told RTÉ's Morning Ireland programme that reflective strips on the vests were "marginally below" the required safety level.
He added that RSA members with the defective vests can have them replaced free of charge.
All the faulty vests came from the one manufacturer, so can be identified by the label, which will read Optipro. The vest will also say RSA across its back.
The RSA buy and distribute around one-million high-visibility vests each year.
