Investigation Launched Into Fatal Stabbing

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of the body of man stabbed to death in the early hours of the morning in Ennis, Co Clare.

It is understood that the victim is a Polish man (31) attending a party in the town.

Gardaí say the man was stabbed a number of times at a house in Sandfield Mews.

The victim died en-route to Limerick's Mid-Western Regional Hospital.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A second victim was also found near the scene, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Gardaí believe he may have been involved in an earlier incident at Sandfield Mews.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Injured In Shooting In Bray, Co Wicklow
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man was shot in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Thursday evening. The man, believed to be in his 20s, is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin. He is believed to have been shot in the People's Park in Bray at around 5.30pm. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Man Held In Stabbing Probe
A 43-year-old man was still being questioned by gardaí late last night about the murder of a 28-year-old Dublin woman. She was stabbed to death in a house for the homeless in the capital. The suspect, who was known to the victim, was arrested by detectives at the scene of the murder in Ranelagh Road, Ranelagh, on the southside of the city.

Man Arrested Following Stabbing Incident
A man has taken to hospital after being stabbed in Co Wexford. The male, 34, was stabbed at a house on Grange Road at around 9.30pm on Thursday night. His condition is described as serious but stable. Gardai have arrested a 60-year-old man. He is currently being detained at New Ross Garda station.

Man Injured In Kerry Stabbing
A man has been injured in a stabbing in Co Kerry. It is understood that the 35-year-old was stabbed during an incident in An Daingean. He was taken to Kerry General Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be serious. Gardaí are investigating the incident.
