Gardaí Appeal for Information After Decomposed Body Is Found In Phibsboro

Gardaí are appealing to the public to help identify the decomposed body of a man found in a derelict house in Phibsboro yesterday.

The body, which garda now believe may have been in the house for some 4 years, is described as that of a thin male, who stood around 5.5ft tall.

He was wearing size six Navy boots, navy or black combat style trousers, a green stripped jumper and a Pulsar watch.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he died of natural causes.

Gardaí are checking missing person reports and examining dental records in an effort to establish his identity. DNA testing will also be used.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

An investigation is underway following the discovery of badly decomposed body in a derelict house in Phibsboro, Dublin. The body was uncovered at a house on Royal Canal Bank West at around noon on Wednesday. The body was removed from the scene and is due to undergo a post-mortem examination today (Thursday).

Rural Limerick Death A 'Tragic Accident' - Garda
Gardaí investigating the discovery of a 65-year-old woman's body outside a neighbours house in rural Limerick are no longer treating the death as suspicious. It is understood that a post-mortem examination of Teresa Nyst ruled out a "criminal or violent" death.

Arrest Made Over Limerick Body Find
An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a body in Limerick. Gardaí responding to a call about an incident at a house on Barrack Hill, discovered the body of a man shortly after 05:30 on Wednesday morning. It is understood a man in his 50s was arrested at the scene, and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
