Accused IRA Hyde Park Bomber Granted Bail
A man accused of the 1982 IRA bombing that killed four British Soldiers has been granted bail.
Household Cavalry soldiers Roy Bright, Dennie Daly, Simon Tipper and Geoffrey Young were killed in an explosion as they rode to the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
61-year-old John Downey, of Co Donegal, Ireland is charged with the murders of the four men. He also faces a charge of intending to cause an explosion likely to endanger life.
Downey was arrested at Gatwick Airport in May.
At the Old Bailey, his trial date was set for January 14, 2014 and Downey was granted conditional bail.
Conditions include £55,000 bail money, wearing of an electronic tag, living at a specified address, maintaining a curfew and reporting daily to a police station.

Cork Man Cleared Of Rape On Appeal
The Court of Criminal Appeal has quashed the convictions of a Cork man who was jailed for raping the two teenage sisters of his former girlfriend. The 32-year-old man, who was not in court for the judgment, was tried and convicted in the Central Criminal Court last year.
