Elderly Woman Killed In Co Kildare Road Crash
An elderly woman has been killed in a single vehicle road crash in Co Kildare.
The accident happened at around 3.30pm on Wednesday on the Derrinturn to Carbury Road near the Offaly-Kildare border.
The 76-year-old woman was taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore where she died a short time later.
It is thought she may have had an underlying medical condition, according to garda.
A 77-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy were also in the car at the time of the crash. They were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.

A man has died in a road collision in Co Louth. The single-vehicle crash occurred at Rassan on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at around 7am today, 05 September. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Woman Killed In Co Cork Road Crash
Gardaí in Cork have reported that a woman has been killed in a single-vehicle road crash in Skibbereen, Co Cork. According to gardaí it is thought the crash took place sometime between 22:00 on Thursday and 07:00 on Friday morning. The woman was the only passenger in the car at the time of the incident.

A woman has died in a two-car collision on the R741 between Gorey and Wexford. Gardaí have said that woman, aged in her 20s, died in the crash at around 10am on Thursday morning at Raheenaskeagh, north of the junction for Oulart village. The single male occupant of the second is being treated for serious injuries at Wexford Regional Hospital.
