Irishman Among Five Arrested In Connection With Drugs Haul
Spanish police have arrested an Irishman in connection with the seizure of more than €135m worth of cocaine.
He was arrested in Gran Canaria after police and customs officials stopped a yacht, bound for the Canary Islands, in international waters between Cape Verde and the island.
An American man was also arrested on the boat, alongside an Australian woman in Tenerife and two Spaniards in Gran Canaria, all in connection with the drugs haul.
The identity, age and birthplace of the Irishman have yet to be revealed.
He has been referred to as simply, Kenneth G.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.
