Dublin Bus Strike Enters Second Day
A strike by Dublin Bus employees in a dispute over cost-cutting measures is underway.
There is no service today, a Bank holiday, as drivers and other workers enter the second day of industrial action.
The action began despite calls for unions and Dublin Bus to begin talks, but unions have rejected measures put forward by the company to save €11.7 million.
Minister for transport, Leo Varadker, has called on the unions to end the strike action, saying that they are hurting people for whom there is no alternative to public transport.
