Two Men Airlifted To Hospital In Separate Incidents

An 81-year-old man is on his way to Cork University Hospital after being gored by a bull, garda have said.

He is being moved by the Coast Guard Helicopter from Drimoleague in west Cork following the attack.

Meanwhile, a crewman in a Spanish fishing vessel was airlifted to Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick after an alert was sent out at around 21:20 on Monday night.

It is understood that the man was having trouble breathing.

He was recovered by Shannon-based coastguard helicopter some 80 nautical miles off the coast of Galway.

A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

Man Attacked In East Cork
Gardaí are appealing for information after a man in his 40s was attacked in east Cork on Tuesday. The victim was assaulted at Meat Shambles Lane in Youhal at around 3pm. He is currently being treated at Cork University Hospital, however his injures are not believed to be life-threatening. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Manhunt After Two Stabbed In Cork
Gardaí have launched a manhunt after two people were stabbed at Cork University Hospital. According to reports, it is thought the two men got into a fight with a third man on the ground of the hospital earlier today (23 October). The victims are receiving treatment at the scene, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
