Toddler Attacked By Wild Tapir Is Released From Hospital
A two-year-old girl who was attacked by a wild tapir in Dublin Zoo has been released from hospital.
The toddler was discharged from Temple Street Children's Hospital on Thursday after a week long stay.
Katie sustained injuries to her arm and abdomen in the attack and had to undergo surgery. It is believed the child is recovering well.
Management at Dublin Zoo are currently investigating the incident.

The Protection of Life during Pregnancy Bill has been published by the government following approval by the Cabinet. Several significant changes have been made to the outline of the Bill, which was published in April. The Minister for Health will be given the power to stop suspended an institution if deemed to be operating the Act inappropriately.

Man Attacked In Dublin
A man is being treated in hospital after being stabbed in Dublin on Sunday night. The 29-year-old man was taken to the Beaumount Hospital following the attack which happened on Glin Road, Coolock. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Released Following Dublin Shooting
A man has been released without charge after being questioned in connection with the shooting of a boy in Dublin on Friday. The six-year-old was shot in the neck in Ballyfermot. A man was detained on suspicion of withholding information. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Elderly Man Critical Following Dublin Assault
An elderly man who was assaulted in Dublin over the weekend remains in critical condition in hospital. The victim, aged in his 70s, was attacked near the Courtney Place flats in Ballybough in the early hours of Saturday morning, 17 August.
