Cargo Ship Runs Aground Off Dublin Coast
A cargo ship, en route from Ringaskiddy to Dublin, has run around 11km off the coast of Dublin this morning.
The MV Cielo di San Francisco hit a sandbank between the Kish Bank and Bray at about 9.30am.
It is understood that there are some 21 people on board the vessel but there have been no reports of any injuries.
A rescue of the boat will be attempted, first with a tugboat, and if that is not successful an attempt will be made to float the ship at high tide this evening at 11.55pm.

No Pollution Risk From Stricken Tall Ship
There is no risk of pollution from the abandoned tall ship, the Astrid, which crashed into rocks off the coast of Kinsale on Wednesday afternoon, the Irish Coast Guard has said. 30 members of the ships crew were rescued after string winds blow blew the Dutch-registered training vessel onto rocks and it began to take on water.

30 Rescued From Sinking Tall Ship Off Coast Of Cork
Some thirty people had to be rescued from a tall ship that hit rocks off the coast of Cork. It is understood that the Astrid, a 42-metre Dutch training vessel, hit rocks and began taking on water at Oysterhaven, near Kinsale, at around midday.

48-Tonnes Of Silver Recovered From Ship Wreck Off Galway Coast
A 48-tonne haul of silver bullion has been recovered from a shipwreck three miles beneath the Atlantic off the coast of Ireland. Deep ocean exploration firm Odyssey Marine Exploration found the 1,203 bars of the precious metal on board the SS Gairsoppa which sank in February 1941, 300 miles south west of Galway.

Coast Guard Investigates Reports Of Astrid Thefts
Reports are being investigated that the stricken tall ship, abandoned on rocks off the coast of Cork, has been robbed. It is understood that the Irish Coast Guard are looking into reports that the bell, wooden wheel and compass were stolen from the submerged vessel last Friday.
