Investigation After Woman Trapped In Luggage Compartment
An investigation has been launched over claims that a woman travelled some 25km trapped inside the luggage compartment of a Bus Éireann coach, RTÉ have reported.
It is understood that the woman was travelling from Galway, where she is undergoing treatment for cancer, to her home in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare.
When the bus stopped in Ballyvaughan the woman is said to have climbed into the luggage compartment to retrieve her bag, however, the bus then closed the luggage compartment and continued its journey, travelling some 25km to Doolin, where the woman was found still in the compartment.
Bus Éireann have said an investigation into the incident, which is understood to have happened sometime in the last few weeks, is underway.

Former Bus Driver Accused Of 'Odyssey of Destruction'
A former bus driver is standing trial accused of a destructive rampage which led to the death of a pensioner. Peter Clarke, 38, is alleged to have taken the bus without the permission of his employer, before engaging in what the prosecution described as "an odyssey of destruction" leading to the death of 62 year-old Ms Marie Buckley.

Modified Cars Seized In Overnight Garda Operation
Gardaí have seized a car after it was discovered that its battery had been "relocated" to its boot and held in place with cable ties. The seizure was made by officers from Operation CURB (Changing Your Road Behaviour) in an overnight operation on March 06 and 07.
