Appeal Issued After Cyclist Shootings In Dublin

Gardaí have appealed for information and witnesses to an incident in which two men on bicycles were shot in Glasnevin, Dublin.

It is understood that at around 8.15am on Sunday morning, a 52-year-old man was shot as he cycled along a footpath on Glasnevin Avenue. When garda arrived, they found the man lying in the driveway of a house.

A second man, believed to be in his 30s was then found a short distance away in Hillcrest Park, also suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Garda say that both men where on bicycles at the time they were shot and had just left a laneway leading onto Glasnevin Avenue.

A forensic examination is underway on a firearm recovered at the scene.

Gardaí have appealed for information from anyone who may have witnessed the shootings or may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact them.

Appeal After Man Shot In Dublin
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in the Lucan area of Dublin yesterday, Wednesday 04 September. The shooting happened at Griffeen Glen Park at around 1.50pm and saw the target shot in his body, head and arms while in his car. He is in stable condition in hospital.

Appeal For Information After Man Is Shot In Housing Estate
Gardaí are appealing for information after a 27-year-old man was shot in a Dublin housing estate on Saturday night. The victim has been named as Robert Donoghue. He was shot at least once in the shoulder at around 23:00 on Saturday in Kinsealy, Co Dublin, according to gardaí.

Appeal On Man Shot Dead In Finglas
An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a man was shot in the head outside a bar in Finglas on Friday night. Gardaí in Dublin are trying to establish a motive for the murder of the 42-year-old David Thomas, from Cloonlara Crescent, who was shot in the head several times outside the Drake Inn pub in Finglas village.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.
