Tesco Expansion Plans To Create 200 Jobs

Some 200 new jobs are to be created over the next year as Tesco expand its operations in Ireland.

80 jobs are to be created before the end of this year as part of the supermarkets previously announced €70m capital investment programme.

Another 48 jobs are expected as Tesco open new express stores in Cork and Dublin.

New Tesco mobile phone shops are also to be opened in Maynooth, Tallaght, Drogheda, Clearwater, Wilton and Clare Hall, creating 14 jobs.

This is alongside a further 18 graduate jobs.

And in 2014, new stores in Dundalk and Dún Laoghaire are expected to create a further 120 jobs.

An investment of €8m is funding the building of two new services at Junction 3 on the Dublin-Cork motorway (M8) near Ballacolla in Co Laois, and Junction 5 on the Dublin-Waterford motorway (M9) in Co Carlow.

SuperValu To Create Over 200 Jobs With New Stores
Over 200 jobs are to be created this year by retailer SuperValu, who are to build three new stores. An investment of €7 million is to be spent on opening three new locations, with a further €12m to be spent on the expansion and refurbishment of the chains current 45 stores.

HubSpot To Create 450 New Jobs In Dublin
US technology firm, HubSpot, will create 450 new jobs over the next three years at their Dublin headquarters. First opening in Ireland in 2013 with a commitment to hire 150 people, the company currently employs more than 800. The new jobs will include engineering, sales and services.

Zendesk To Create 300 New Jobs In Dublin
US technology firm Zendesk has announced plans to create 300 new jobs as it agrees a lease to expand into Charlemont Place, following a significant growth of its local team. Zendesk established its first office in Dublin in 2012 with two engineers to focus on supporting the global expansion of the company's engineering team.
