Over 400 NAMA Homes Given Over To Social Housing

NAMA have given over more than 400 homes to be used as social housing, with local authorities and housing charities leasing the properties.

It is understood that 407 properties have already been transferred, to be followed by another 100 in the coming weeks. Over the next three years that figure could increase to almost 2,000.

The properties have been leased for 20 years at a fixed yearly price.

Individuals will then lease properties directly from local authorities or hosuing charities, with rents determined by the size and income of each family.
