Gardaí Officers Injured In Cork Attack
Two gardaí officers in Cork are being treated in Cork University Hospital after being attacked when they responded to a domestic disturbance call.
The offices attended and address in the Blarney Street area at around 19:00 on Thursday night.
It is understood that while to calm an "extremely agitated" man, the man turned on the officers, attacking them both.
According to gardaí the officer suffered multiple, but non-threatening, injuries.

A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Manhunt After Two Stabbed In Cork
Gardaí have launched a manhunt after two people were stabbed at Cork University Hospital. According to reports, it is thought the two men got into a fight with a third man on the ground of the hospital earlier today (23 October). The victims are receiving treatment at the scene, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Cannabis Seizure At Cork Airport
Cannabis with an estimated street value of €250,000 has been seized at Cork Airport, according to reports. It is understood that around 20 kilos of herbal cannabis was discovered when customs officers opened a man's suitcase at the airport. A 43-year-old South African is understood to have been arrested in connection with the find.

Officers Seize €20,000 At Knock Airport
Revenue officers seized €20,000 in cash from a couple who landed in Knock airport having returned from Lanzarote. The can was concealed in items of clothing and carry-on luggage. The cash was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act and investigations are continuing.

Drunken Thug Stabs Kitten
Gardaí are searching for a drunken thug who, unprovoked, stabbed a kitten to the horror of its owner. Witness have told gardaí officers how a highly intoxicated man in his 30s picked up the young kitten, named Fifi, and without reason brutally stabbed her with a knife, before throwing her against a side wall of a house.
