Gardaí Appeal Over Woman With Alzheimer's Missing In Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have appealed for help in tracing a woman with Alzheimer’s, who has been missing since Tuesday morning.

65-year-old Maragret Managan, commonly known as Peggy, in known to have left Mount Tallant Avenue in Terenure at around 11am on Tuesday morning to walk her dog, a cavalier King Charles spaniel.

There were two reported sightings of her during the day:

• Clanbrassil Street at around 12pm

• Glasnevin at around 15:00

There was a third possible sighting at around 17:30 near the M50 Finglas junction.

She is described as around 5'2" tall and of slim build, she was dressed in black trousers and a white coat when she left home.

Anyone who may have seen her, or who has any information, is asked to contact Terenure Garda Station on 01-6666400.

Gardaí Investigate Limerick Shooting
An investigation has been launched after a house in Limerick city was shot at. A single shot was fired through a downstairs window of a house in Sarsfield Gardens in the Moyross area of the city, around 1am on Tuesday morning. It is not known if anyone was in the house at the time. The area has been sealed off for technical examination.

Appeal For Witnesses To Early Morning Shooting In Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin this morning. According to garda a man was shot just after 9am on Thursday morning on Clonard Street. The victim has been taken to hospital but no details of his condition have been released. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a technical examination.

Cork Farm Body Shock
Gardaí have launched an investigation after what appeared to be a body was found on a farm in Cork. It is understood that the discovery was made in a slurry pit on the farm at Shanlaragh in Dunmanaway in Co. Cork around 8:40am on Thursday morning. The age, gender and identity of the body are not yet known.

Man Charged With Knife Attack On Dublin Woman
Gardaí have charged 48-year-old Denis Leahy in connection with a knife attack on a 46-year-old woman in Dublin on Tuesday morning. Rose Kenny was stabbed in the throat, chest and stomach at about 8am on Tuesday and was attacked as she left her home at School Street flats. She remains in intensive care at St James's Hospital.
