Dell Financial Services To Create 300 Jobs

Three hundred new jobs are to be created by computer company Dell.

The jobs will be within financial services at the company's Cherrywood base in Dublin.

It is understood that over 100 of the jobs have already been filled with recruitment for the remaining position underway.

The new jobs follow the granting of a banking license to Dell Financial Services in June.

One hundred new jobs are to be created in Limerick by computer company Dell. The company has announced that it is expanding its research and development base at its Limerick facility. Recruitment for the new jobs, described as high-skilled engineering roles, will begin immediately.

Cartoon Saloon, an animation studio based in Kilkenny, has teamed up with Canadian animation studio Mercury Filmworks, it has been announced. The partnership will see a new 2D-focused animation studio created in Ireland – Lighthouse Studios.

Financial Ombudsman Given Name And Shame Powers
New powers have been given to the Financial Services Ombudsman to name and shame financial institutions with three or more complaints made against them. Minister for Finance Micheal Noonan signed the new powers into force today, which commences section 72 of the Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013.

200 New Jobs For Dublin
Up to 200 new jobs are to be created in Dublin by global financial services provider, Fidelity Investments. The company is opening its second office in Dublin, with a new facility at Citywest. Its Irish operations provide corporate services, research and development, international finance and risk management.
