New Nursing Home To Create 120 New Jobs
Some 120 jobs are expected to be created in Co Wicklow following the development of a new nursing home in Bray.
Over the next three months the Cairnhill Nursing Homes, which opens today, will create the jobs within nursing, administration and other roles.
Owners of the new home, McMahon Healthcare Group, say that they hope to fill the new roles within the next three months.

Funding Secured For Co Mayo Nursing Homes
The government have announced funding of €15 million for nursing homes in Co Mayo, which Taoiseach Enda Kenny said will make a "significant difference for elderly people in our communities". Announcing the funding, the Taoiseach said: "Six Nursing Homes in Mayo are to receive a total of €15,070,000 in funding for upgrades and refurbishment.

The allocation of €400,000 in HSE funding to upgrade two nursing homes in Co. Roscommon has been welcomed by Fine Gael Roscommon/South Leitrim TD, Frank Feighan. "The Plunkett Nursing Home in Boyle is to receive €300,000 while Áras Mháthair Phóil in Castlerea is to be allocated €100,000.

Over 100 new nursing posts are to be created at the Mid West Hospital Group and Naas Hospital, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation. 70 nurses will be recruited for University Hospitals Group including University Hospital Limerick, Ennis Hospital, Nenagh Hospital and Croom Orthopaedic Hospital.
