Thieves Target GAA Car Parks

Cars parked at GAA clubs seem to have become the new target, following a number of smash-and-grab robberies on cars parked at cemeteries earlier this year.

It is understood that there have been more than 20 incidents across the country since mid-August, with cars targeted at GAA club car parks in Cork, Tipperary, Waterford and Limerick.

Some clubs have begun providing volunteers to perform regular checks on parked cars.

It follows a number of similar robberies at graveyards.
