Gardaí Prepare For Budget Protestors

A major gardaí security operation is standing by to deal with possible protests following the announcement of the 2014 Budget.

It is understood that a number of protests are planned to coincide with the budget announcement, with gardaí preparing to ensure that "the city keeps moving" and that "people get home from work".

A "Dáil Lockout" protest is planned in the streets around Leinster House and around O’Connell Bridge as protesters attempt to make it difficult for TDs and Senators to access Leinster House.
