Man Arrested And Firearm Seized

A firearm has been seized and a man arrested in Crumlin, Dublin.

According to gardaí, they were investigating reports of criminal damage at Rutland Grove when they witnessed a row break out between a number of men.

The firearm was seized from one of the men involved in the row and he was subsequently arrested.

The 48-year-old is being detained at Sundrive Road Garda Station.

Four men are to appear in court today in connection with a drugs find in Finglas. Gardai seized 470 cannabis plants during a raid on three properties at Meakstown Close on Saturday. It is estimated to have a street value of €376,000. The men were arrested on Saturday night and are to appear at Blanchardstown District Court.

Two males have been arrested and a firearm seized by Gardaí investigating organised crime in Blanchardstown, Co Westmeath. The operation was carried out on Tuesday 03 December, with a fully loaded semi-automatic Makorav handgun removed from a vehicle.

Two people have been arrested and a firearm has been seized following a Gardai operation targeting dissident republican activity in the Drogheda area. On 11 July, Garda stopped and searched a car at around 3pm in the Crushrod Avenue area.

Firearm Seized And Two Arrested
Two men have been arrested and a firearm seized in a garda operation targeting criminal activity in south west Dublin. A garda spokesman said a car was stopped on the N81 in Tallaght at about 22:00 on Monday night and a handgun was recovered. Two men, aged 16 and 21, were arrested at the scene. Gardaí said that the investigation was "ongoing".

Four Arrested And Firearm Seized
Four men have been arrested and a firearm seized following a Garda search in the Crumlin area of Dublin. Officers also recovered a telescopic sight and firearm component parts during the operation at Captain's Road in Crumlin, Dublin. The search began yesterday afternoon and was carried out by Dublin Metropolitan Region detectives.
