Ryanair Introduce Series Of Service Improvements

A number of service improvements are to be made by Ryanair is response to customer feedback, the airline has announced.

Over the next six months the operator will introduce six new features, including a reduced boarding card reissue fee, quiet flights for early in the morning and late at night, and a 24-hour grace period to correct errors made if booking directly on the airline's website.

A number of changes are also being made to additional costs, with the boarding card reissue fee cut from €70 to €15 for customers who have already checked in online and the standard airport bag fees cut from €60 to €30 at the bag drop-in desk and from €60 to €50 at the boarding gate.

Fianna Fáil is urging the Government to cut prescription charges for medical card holders in the upcoming budget. Deputy Frank O'Rourke said the previous Government oversaw a five-fold increase in prescription charges. Ash Cloud Cuts Ryanair Profits
Ryanair has reported the recent ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano caused a 24% fall in its profits during the first three months of its financial. The disruptions caused by the volcanic ash cloud meant its net profit for the period from March to the end of June was €93.7m, with a cost of €50m for almost 10,000 flights cancelled in April and May.
