Garda Officers On Trial For Sexual Assault Of Colleagues

A gardaí officer has been charged with the sexual assault and harassment of two female colleagues.

The officer, who is understood to be aged in his 30s and married, is charged with seven counts of sexual assault and two of harassment.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between November 2010 and May 2011.

The case, at Letterkenny Circuit Court, is ongoing.

Senator Ivana Bacik is launching a landmark report published by the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) entitled 'Say Something', which documents students' experiences of harassment, stalking, violence and sexual assaults. Four Teenagers Arrested In Connection With Serious Sexual Assault In Co Wexford
Four male teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with an incident in Co Wexford. The arrests were made by garda investigating a serious sexual assault reported to have occurred on 28 July, 2019 at approximately 12:15am in the Burrow area of Courtown Harbour, Gorey.
