Garda Launch Investigation Into Baby's Death
An investigation has been launched into the sudden death of a six-month-old baby found in Dublin city this morning.
The baby girl was found at around 07:30 this morning at Sherrard Avenue, near Dorset St.
She was pronounced dead after being taken to Temple Street Hospital.
Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding the baby's discovery and death, although it is understood that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place later today.

Man And Woman Arrested In Connection With Child's Death Last Year
Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 10-week-old baby girl in Co Longford in June last year. The child, named as Doriana Kluska, from Cloondara in Longford, died in Temple Street Hospital on 04 June 2017. A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in Naas. At the same time a woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested in Dublin.

Gardaí have renewed an appeal to the mother of a baby girl, whose body was found on a north Dublin beach to contact them. The body of the baby girl was found on Bell's beach in Balbriggan on Sunday morning. Garda have said that a post-mortem confirmed that the child was a full-term baby girl and that "no foul place" was involved in her death.

"Significant quantities" of human remains have been discovered in a large underground structure at the former mother-and-baby home in Tuam, Co Galway. Surveys of the site were carried out the Mother And Baby Homes Commission of Investigation in October 2015, identifying two underground anomalies worthy of further investigation.

Missing Mother And Daughter Found 'Safe And Well'
A mother missing with her one-week-old baby daughter has been found "safe and well", garda have reported. Garda had issued appeals for help in tracing 23-year-old Paige Holland and her daughter, Nevaeh Goodier/Tighe, after they had been reported missing from their home in Co Tipperary.
