Clerys To Reopen This Month

Clerys Department Store is reportedly set to open later this month.

According to RTE, the retailer will open its doors on 21 November.

In July, the firm was forced to cease trading after its premises was damaged in a storm.

It is understood the building has now been fully restored.

In a statement, Managing Director Dominic Prendergast is quoted as saying: "Following four months of extensive refurbishment work, the 160-year-old retail emporium that is Clerys had been restored to its former glory."

The 86 staff members temporarily laid off as the building closed are all to return to their jobs, they added.
