Gardai Appeal After Poison Stolen From Co Kildare Vet
Gardaí and the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) have appealed for anyone with any information about a robbery at a veterinary clinic in Celbridge, Co Kildare, to contact them.
It is understood that one of the items stolen in the robbery is a drug called Release, which contains pentobarbital, a very poisonous substance used in the US in the execution of prisoners.
According to reports the product was contained in a 100ml clear glass bottle with an orange and white label and the words ‘Release’ written in block capitals across the label. It is believed that there was only 15ml of pentobarbital in the glass bottle when it was taken.
Gardaí and the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) have said they are very anxious that this item is recovered and are appealing for anyone who may have any information or know the whereabouts of this poison to contact gardaí in Leixlip on 01 6667800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any garda station.
If anyone has consumed this product, they should seek immediate medical assistance.
They are also advised to contact the Poisons Unit at Beaumont Hospital 01 837 9966.

Appeal For Information After Man Is Shot In Housing Estate
Gardaí are appealing for information after a 27-year-old man was shot in a Dublin housing estate on Saturday night. The victim has been named as Robert Donoghue. He was shot at least once in the shoulder at around 23:00 on Saturday in Kinsealy, Co Dublin, according to gardaí.

Appeal For Missing Man From Bray
Gardai are appealing for informtiona in tracing the whereabouts of Philip O'Toole, 32, who has been missing from his home in Bray, Co Wicklow, since 7th January. Philip, from Thornhill View, is 5ft 7inches with brown hair and medium build. It is not known what he was wearing when he was last seen.

Appeal Launched Over Missing Men
Two separate appeals have been launched following the disappearance of two men in recent weeks. Gardai at Gorey said today they wish to renew their appeal for assistance from the public in relation to tracing the whereabouts of 26-year-old Seamus Flahive missing from Gorey since March 2.

Gardaí Issue Warning Over Stolen Radioactive Materials
Gardaí have issued a warning to the public after the theft of radioactive materials in a weekend robbery in Swords. Seven lightning preventers in a red metal box were taken during a robbery, but gardaí have said that the items are highly dangerous and while they resemble aluminium or stainless, they in fact have no scrap value.
