Concerns Raised Over 170 Jobs In Cork
Cork-based insurance company Assurant Solutions is to review its operations in Ireland, raising concerns for more than 170 jobs in Cork city.
It is understood that the company, which employes over 14,000 people worldwide, told staff in Cork that the review could lead to the closure of its facility.
The company opened its Cork call centre in 1999.

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams has criticised a plan to merge Cork City and County Councils, which he said would be "detrimental" for the city. Mr Adams called on Cork voters to demand the rejection of the current Fine Gael/Labour proposals in favour of a comprehensive and democratic plan for Cork.
