Flybe Ending Services Out Of Ireland
Flybe, Europe's largest regional airline, is to pull out of Shannon Airport.
Flybe was the first airline that committed to Shannon after the airport had secured its independence from the Dublin Airport Authority at the beginning of the year.
The UK-based airline announced that it would end its operations at Shannon from 05 January, 2014.
Flybe will also end its flights to Edinburgh out of Ireland West Knock airport.

Cork Airport Accepts Debt Deal
Cork Airport Authority (CAA) has put an end to their long-running dispute with Dublin Airport by accepting recommendations that it assume millions of euros in debt as the price of independence. Last night, the CAA held a crunch meeting and agreed 'in principle' to accept the debt, in return for its independent operations.

Fine Gael Clare TD and Chair of the Oireachtas Foreign Affairs Committee, Pat Breen, has said that the announcement that Aer Lingus is expanding its routes to the UK is yet another boost for Shannon Airport. The airline has announced it is opening a new service from Shannon to Bristol, with additional flights to Birmingham and Manchester.
