Woman Attacked In Dublin

A 22-year-old woman has been assaulted in Dublin.

She was attacked in Rathmines, on the south side of the city, in the early hours of Monday morning. It is believed the incident occurred on Effra Road.

The victim claims that she was punched and pulled to the ground. She is being treated in hospital for her injuries.

A man is currently being questioned by Gardai.

Woman Attacked During Burglary In Dublin
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a woman was attacked during an aggravated burglary in Templeogue, Dublin, on Monday morning. The woman was assaulted after a man entered a house in the Osprey area at approximately 11.20am. The suspected offender is described as aged between 40 and 50, of average height, and with short hair.

Fault Halts DART
Commuters are facing severe disruption as DART services in south Dublin ground to a halt this morning due to a technical fault in Dun Laoghaire. No trains are operating between Blackrock and Bray, but passengers are being advised that Dublin Bus will honour all valid DART tickets. It is unclear when normal services will resume.

Nightly Water Restrictions Remain In Dublin City
Following the last five night's water restrictions in effect in Dublin City, the City Council has announced nightly hours of restriction, which will remain in place but the operative hours will be reduced to 10 hours for the next two nights - from 9.00pm to 7.00am each day, and will remain in place across the Dublin Region.

Garda Appeal For Information On Alleged Rape In Dublin City Centre
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following the alleged rape of a woman in Dublin in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 11 December. According to garda a woman went to a south Dublin garda station to report begin attacked sometime between midnight and 2am this morning.
