Eircom Launch eVision TV Service

eVision TV services, offering 34 channels, has been launched by Eircom.

Costing €10 a month, the service will offer 34 channels with a free set-top-box, which includes 240 hours of recording space.

Eircom are launching the service with promotion teams, called eVisionaries, on the streets of Dublin, Cork and Galway.

"eVision is shaking up TV, and the eVisionaries will be shaking up the streets of Dublin, Cork and Galway all this week," Eircom's Consumer Marketing Director, Lisa Comerford said.

"They will be bringing some lighthearted fun to January and to remind the public that with eVision there is now a great value TV service to choose this year. Our eVisionaries will be hard to miss and we encourage the public to get involved and brighten up their day this January."

Eircom Launch New TV Service
Eircom are set to become the first company in Ireland to offer customers a so-called 'quadplay' service, with announcement of its new TV service, joining its landline, mobile and broadband services. From tomorrow, its new television service, eVision, will be available in the 25 counties that already carry the firms fibre optic broadband.

Eircom Launch 4G Mobile Service
The first 4G service in Ireland is now live, but is currently only available in Dublin, Carlow and Athlone. Eircom have launched the service today, saying that it hoped to extend 4G coverage to other major urban centres between now and christmas. The new 4G service will be available through Meteor and eMobile.

Customer Service Survey Launched For Passport Service
A customer service survey has been launched seeking the views of users of the Passport Service in an effort to improve customer service standards. Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan, launched the survey, which he said would shape the ongoing reform of how Irish passports are produced and delivered.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has published its 2017 National Service Plan, following approval by the Minister for Health, Simon Harris. The plan details the delivery of health services that the HSE will provide directly, and through a range of funded agencies, in 2017.

Service Industries Continue To Improve
The value of the service industry in Ireland increased by 1.4% in July when compared with June, while in the year to July, there was an increase of 5.3%. The figures have been released by the Central Statistics Office through its Monthly Services Index, which measures the value of the service industries across the country.
