Five Arrested Over Mobile Phone Thefts

Gardaí have arrested five people in connection with a series of mobile phone robberies in Dublin city centre.

The arrests occurred during planned search operations in Fairview, Finglas and Rathcoole.

Those arrested include two adult males and three juveniles.

One man was released without charged while the second was charged and bailed to appear at a later date.

All three juveniles were charged and are due to appear being Smithfield Children's Court today (Tuesday).

Woman Released In Longford Murder Investigation
The woman being held by Gardaí in connection with the death of Sharon Coughlan, has been released without charge. Gardaí in Co Longford arrested three people yesterday. Two men, aged 19 and 28, were still in custody this morning. It is understood their period of detention has been extended.

Three Injured And Three Arrested In Longford Car Chase
Three people required hospital treatment following a high-speed car chase in Longford on Saturday night. Gardai said a patrol car was carrying out a routine circuit of the town when it tried to stop a car. However, the car sped off at speed and gardai gave chase. The chase ended when the suspects car crashed at Goshen cross outside Longford.

Three Charged In Connection With Fatal Shooting In Murroe
Three men have appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Murroe last weekend. The men, aged 49, 48 and 25, were arrested after a 51-year-old man was killed in a shooting at Mountfune, Murroe, Co Limerick, on Saturday, 20 June.
