Four Arrests Over Attack On Suspected Thief
Gardaí investigating an attack on a suspected car thief have arrested four people, one being the woman whose car was broken into.
The suspect thief, a 27-year-old, is in a critical condition in hospital following the attack, in which he was kicked and punched in the head repeatedly.
It is understood that he was attacked after becoming a involved in a row over the alleged robbery.
Two men and two woman were arrested by gardaí on Tuesday morning.
The men are being questioned under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held without charge for up to 24 hours, excluding rest periods.
The two women were arrested for allegedly withholding information about the attack and held under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
They can be detained without charge for up to three days.

Over 100 Arrests Made In Organised Crime Sweep
113 people have been arrested as part of an operation targeting organised crime. Gardaí carried out some 236 planned searches across the country in relation to the investigation. Around 4,200 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €3.5 million were seized at five grow houses in counties Cork, Meath, Wexford and Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí Investigate Dublin Blaze
An investigation has been launched into a suspected arson attack and a robbery at a pub in Dublin. Around 2am this morning, a number of men entered the Players Lounge in Fairview and demanded a sum of money. A fire then broke out in the property destroying the building. No one was injured in the incident.

Father And Son Stabbed Multiple Times By Suspected Car Thief
A father and son are being treated in hospital for stab wounds after they encountered a man who is believed to be trying to break into their car early on Tuesday morning. Gardaí said the 47-year-old man and his 17-year-old son were stabbed multiple times, however their wounds have been described as "minor".

Three Arrests As Drugs Seized In Co Kerry
Gardaí have arrested two men and a woman following the seizure of €4,150 of suspected drugs and €1,700 in cash in Co Kerry. The drugs were discovered and men, aged in their early and late 20s, and a woman, aged in her early 20s, arrested following a search of a house in the Cois Abhainn area of Tralee on Saturday 09 November.

€60k Cocaine Seized In Co Cork Raid
Gardaí in Co Cork have seized over €60,000 worth of suspected cocaine and a suspected imitation firearm. The drugs were discovered at a house in the Newmarket area on Thursday night, 12 September. No arrests have been made as yet. An investigation is ongoing and all items will be sent for analysis.
