New Dublin Distillery To Create 30 Jobs

A new whiskey distillery is to be opened in Dublin's Newmarket Square in The Liberties, creating 30 jobs.

The Teeling Whiskey Company announced plans for a €10m investment, which will see the first whiskey distillery to open in Dublin in 125 years.

It is understood that the new distillery will begin production by the end of the year and open a visitor centre in 2015.

In addition to 30 jobs to be created at the distillery, another 50 jobs will be created during construction.

The Pot Still distillery will produce up to 500,000 liters per year, using the traditional copper pot stills.

Neueda Technologies is to establish a software engineering hub and it will undertake software development services for global telecommunications and financial services clients at their new offices on the Dublin Road. More than 70 people have already been hired by Neueda.

Jameson Whiskey Producer Opens €100m Extension
Irish Distillers distillery in Midleton, producers of Jamesons whiskey, have officially opened their €100m extension. Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened the facility, which has created 60 new jobs and will allow the distiller to double its production.
