'Unusual' Death In Waterford Under Investigation

Gardaí are investigating the death of a man in Waterford City.

According to garda, the man, understood to be aged in his 60s, was found at a house in Connolly Place at about 19:30 on Monday night.

Garda say that a relative of the deceased had raised the alarm.

The death is being treated as "unusual" and a post-mortem examination is due to take place later today.

Waterford Death Probe Man Freed
Gardaí in Waterford have released a man without charge after he was questioned in connection with the death of a woman in the city over the weekend. The 35-year-old woman was found at the Cousebridge roundabout on the outskirts of Waterford city in the early hours of Sunday morning. She had suffered head injuries and died later in hospital.

An investigation is underway following the discovery of a man's body in Waterford. According to reports, the body was found at 9.20am at a flat on Wellington Street today, 31 May. Gardaí attended the scene and the State Pathologist has been notified.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Following the deaths of two young graduates, Gardaí are warning that a lethal new 'Doctor Death' ecstasy mix could cause more deaths. A joint Gardaí and HSE alert was issued after it became clear that a consignment of the powdered substance was for sale on the streets of Cork.

Death Of A Man In Dublin 'Not Suspicious'
Gardaí have said that following the results of a post-mortem examination the death of a man in Dublin is not being treated as suspicious. The man's body was discovered at a house on Ashford Street, Stoneybatter at about 8am yesterday, Sunday 16 June.
