70 Jobs To Go With Bakery Closure

Seventy jobs are to be lost following the announcement that Paris Bakery on Moore Street is to close.

According to a report by the Irish Times, the bakery is closing to make way for a new road, which is part of €900 million shopping centre development.

The bakery's owners have said that they cannot afford to relocate the business so it will close when their lease expires in four months.

Planning permission for a 2.7 hectare redevelopment was granted in 2010. However no work was ever begun and the land is now owned by Nama.
