Two Children In Co Cavan Creche Diagnosed With Meningitis
Health Service Executive (HSE) is warning parents to be warn for the signs of meningitis after diagnosed two children for the same nursery with meningitis.
The HSE visited the creche in Ballyheelan, Kinaleck and administered antibiotics to children and staff who have had close the kids and the fatal infection, they also provided to parent with information.
The infection often have a suddenly start and although most people recover it can be fatal for others. This disease usually appears in winter or spring and teenagers an children are most at risk even it can occur in any age group.
HSE warning people to contact their doctor immediately if they suspect have symptoms or signs of the infection.

HSE Issue Meningitis Advice After Co Cavan Cases Confirmed
Parents have been warned to remain vigilant for the signs of meningitis following the diagnosis of two children in Co Cavan with the potentially fatal infection. The two children attended the same crèche in Ballyheelan, Kilnaleck. Antibiotics have been administered to all children at the crèche and any staff that had contact with the children.

Investigation Into Church Care Inquiry Suspended
The Ombudsman for Children has suspended its investigation into a child protection audit of the Catholic Church by the HSE and the Department of Health. Ombudsman Emily Logan said on Wednesday she had suspended her investigation due to the failure by the HSE to "genuinely cooperate with the process".

HSE Responds To 'Cover-Up' Allegations
The HSE has this morning responded to allegations it has operated a 'cover-up' over the deaths of children who were under its care. Today's statement comes the day after Health Secretary Mary Harney dismissed claims that the HSE was involved in a cover-up over unpublished reports on child deaths from opposition leader Enda Kenny.
