Weather Warnings Continue

Strong winds, heavy rain and further flooding are predicted as Met Éireann issues a further weather warning.

A status yellow warning for rain came into effect nationwide at 6am on Friday morning. Rainfall of between 30-45mm is predicted in the next 24 hours.

In Munster and Leinster a status yellow warning for wind is in place with gusts expected to hit 80-110km/h in coastal areas.

And a status yellow warning for snow and ice is in place for Connacht and counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Kildare, Longford, Westmeath and Meath.

Status Yellow Weather Warning Remains In Place
A Status Yellow weather warning remains in place for Counties Munster and Galway. Met Éireann have warned people to be "be aware" of continuing heavy rainfall throughout Monday, with a continued risk of flooding. The warning was issued at 11am this morning and remains in place midnight.

Two Status Yellow Weather Warnings For Wind And Rain
Two Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued by national forecast Met Éireann. A wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Kerry will come into force at 3pm today, Friday 10 January. Met Éireann said that south to southwest winds 50 to 65 km/hr, with gusts up 90 to 110 km/hr, are expected across the region.

Status Yellow Wind Warning Issued
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare. West to southwest winds of mean speeds 45 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h are expected in western coastal counties throughout Friday and in the northwest during Friday afternoon and evening.
