Two Defence Forces Members Arrested Over Pipe Bomb Find
Two serving member of the Defence Forces have been arrested in connection with a viable pipe bomb found at a house in Co Donegal on Tuesday.
It is understood that army bomb disposal experts attended the scene in Burnfoot, confirming that the device was viable.
Gardaí say the man was arrested at the scene at about 15:00, with the woman being arrested around 22:00 as she returned home.
Garda believe the pipe bomb device is related to an ongoing fund between two groups of soldiers.

Helicopter 'Top Cover' As Bomb Defused
A residential suburb of Co Antrim returned to normal yesterday evening after the Army dealt with a pipe bomb in Harmin Park, Glengormley. The PSNI helicopter was overhead of the Newtownabbey district - close to north Belfast - for most of Monday afternoon and some residents were asked to leave their homes, while the examination was carried out.

A pipe bomb has been made safe at an apartment complex in Limerick city. The Defence Forces team from Cork deployed to Upper Cecil Street in Limerick following a request from the Garda. The area between Catherine Street and Dominic Street had been cordoned off and local residents were evacuated to a safe location. The team arrived at 11.

Pipe Bomb Found Outside House In Co Kildare
A pipe bomb has been found outside a house in Brownstone, Co Kildare. Shortly before 11pm on Monday (27 October), an army bomb disposal team was called to the scene. A viable improvised explosive device was discovered, it has been reported. A number of homes had to be evacuated and road closures were put in place for motorists.
