Man Arrested In Connection With Death Of 64-Year-Old

Garda in Co Offaly have reported the arrest of a 19-year-old man in connection with the death of 64-year-old Thomas (Toddy) Dooley.

The body of Mr Dooley was found at his home in Sister Senan Court, Edenderry, on 16 February.

He had sustained injuries to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19-year-old is the first to be arrested in connection with Mr Dooley's death. He is being detained at Tullamore Garda Station.

The government's proposal to privatise bus routes "undermines the principle of publicly funded, publicly owned and operated public transport", Fianna Fáil Spokesperson in Transport, Timmy Dooley, said. Man Charged Over Death Of Gerard Delaney
A man has appeared in court charged with the death of Gerard Delaney on St Stephen's Day in 2011. 19-year-old Dean Crinnion of Blackwater Grove, Togher in Cork, was also charged with affray and with producing a knife during a fight. Mr Delaney died from multiple stab wounds and injuries to his head.

Body Confirmed As Missing Co Kilkenny Man
Gardaí have found the body of a man that was reported missing two weeks ago. The body of Billy Dooley, of Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, was found in a public toilet in the town. It is understood that gardaí had been searching for Mr Dooley for a fortnight. They say that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Man Arrested In Connection With Boy's Death In Limerick
A man, aged in his 20s, has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a boy in Limerick. Gardaí have reported that the body of a boy was discovered by officers at a house in the Ballynanty area of Limerick city just after 7pm on Sunday, 03 November. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man And Woman Arrested In Connection With Child's Death Last Year
Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 10-week-old baby girl in Co Longford in June last year. The child, named as Doriana Kluska, from Cloondara in Longford, died in Temple Street Hospital on 04 June 2017. A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in Naas. At the same time a woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested in Dublin.
