Pipe Bombs Made Safe In Tallaght
The Army bomb squad have made safe three viable pipe bombs found overnight in Tallaght.
Garda reported that three explosive devices were discovered in a green area of the Cushlawn estate yesterday evening by a member of the public.
Nearby houses were evacuate while the army explosive ordnance disposal division inspected the devices.
The pipe bombs were made safe at the scene without the need for a controlled explosion.
The components of the explosives were later handed over to Gardaí who are investigating the find.

A residential suburb of Co Antrim returned to normal yesterday evening after the Army dealt with a pipe bomb in Harmin Park, Glengormley. The PSNI helicopter was overhead of the Newtownabbey district - close to north Belfast - for most of Monday afternoon and some residents were asked to leave their homes, while the examination was carried out.

A man will apear in court at Thurles later following his arrest in connection with an ongoing Garda operation into organised crime and drug distribution in Co Tipperary. The man was among eight men arrested in Tipperary last night following the discovery of four pipe bombs, a hand gun and ammunition.

A viable explosive device has been made safe during a security operation in Co Kildare. Gardaí responded to a report of a suspect device in Leixlip on Monday night. Army bomb disposal experts examined the device and declared it 'viable'. The device was made safe just after midnight.

Viable Explosive Device 'Made Safe'
A viable explosive device has been made safe in Co Cork. According to reports, a controlled explosion was carried out on the device on Friday (13 February). The object was discovered outside a house in the Knocknaheeney area at around 10am this morning. A number of nearby homes were evacuated and roads were closed.

Co Derry Alert Ends As Device Removed
A second security alert in Co Londonderry within 24 hours has been cleared. A crude device was found outside a vacant property on Main Street in Tobermore on Friday morning. It has been suggested that the device may have been thrown at the house but failed to go off. The alert began around 7.
