Body Found Following Fire At County Louth

A man's body has been found following a fire at a coffin-making plant in County Louth.

The victim, 30, believed to be a Lithuanian national, was an employee at Finlay's Coffin and Casket Services in Ardee, and it is thought he was trapped in the fire on Monday night.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally, according to Gardai.

Mountjoy Prison Cell Fire
A fire broke out in a cell at Dublin's Mountjoy Prison on Thursday night, according to reports. It is understood that a prisoner had set fire to a cell. However, it is believed that prison staff and fire crews were able to contain the fire quickly. No-one was injured in the incident.

Young Sisters And Father Found Dead In Cork
Two young sisters have been found dead in a house in east Cork this morning, while their father was also found dead nearby after a road crash. A family friend found the girls, who were both under the age of 10, in a house in the Ballycotton area at around 10.30am. The friend contacted gardaí to raise the alarm.
