Two Dead In Fire In Co Galway
A man and a woman have died in a fire in County Galway.
The blaze occurred on Station Road in Gort in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The man, 38, and the woman, 65, were the sole occupants in the flat, and it is understood they had been living there for some time.
Emergency services and four units of the fire brigade attended the scene.
Their remains have been removed to University Hospital Galway where a post mortem will be carried out.

Investigation Launched Into Galway Body Find
Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

Missing Galway Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Pregnant Galway Woman To Be Sentenced For Stabbing
A pregnant Galway woman will be sentenced on Wednesday for the manslaughter of her neighbour. Una Black, 26, of Walter Macken Flats, Mervue, Galway, pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to the manslaughter of 42 year-old John Malone at the flats on December 3, 2006.

Body Confirmed As Missing Galway Man
Gardaí have confirmed they have found the body of missing Galway man Adrian Folan. Mr Folan had been missing since last Thursday, when he was last seen in Athlone. Gardaí say that a body found in a disused quarry near the village of Liscannor in north Clare is that of Mr Folan, and that the death is being treated as suspicious.
