PAC Sends Rehab Report To Gardaí

A report on the allegations made against Rehab has been passed to Gardaí by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

It follows a private meeting held this morning by the PAC to discuss correspondence from developer John Kelly.

It is understood that Mr Kelly's correspondence contained "serious allegations" against named individuals who have or had associations with the Rehab Group.

The PAC has invited representative's of Rehab to appear before them on 10 April.

PAC Member Calls For Immediate Rehab Pay Transparency
The Rehab board needs to reveal the salaries of all its senior staff immediately, not in 2016, Wicklow TD and Public Accounts Committee member Simon Harris has said. The Fine Gael TD said that it was "completely unacceptable" for Rehab to not reveal pay details of top managers until its 2015 accounts are published in 2016.

400 New Jobs To Be Created By The Rehab Group
The Rehab Group, which provides support services and job opportunity for disabled people, has announced that it plans to recruit 750 new staff over the next three years. Over 400 of these positions will be based in Ireland.

SIPTU To Meet With Rehab Enterprises
SIPTU representatives will meet with the management of Rehab Enterprises on Thursday to discuss threatened redundancies at the company's Galway recycling plant. Eighteen workers at the Galway facility, many of them with disabilities, are to be made redundant during March in a selection process which takes no account of their disabilities.
