Woman Arrested Over Fatal Apartment Fire In Co Cork

A woman, aged in her 20s, has been arrested in connection with a fire that killed two men in Mallow Co Cork last week.

A man and woman were rescued by gardaí from the apartment fire at Granary Court last Thursday but where overcome by smoke and unable to get in a second time.

The bodies of two men where found in the apartment by fire brigade officers wearing breathing apparatus.

Gardaí in Cork arrested a woman in the city centre on Monday afternoon in connection with the fire.

A woman has died in a house fire in Co Clare. The victim, in her 50s, was alone at the property in Derrynavaha, Craggah, when the fire started at around 7pm on Sunday night. Gardai are currently investigating the incident.

Woman And Two Children Die In Dublin Apartment Fire
A woman and two children have died in a fire at an apartment in Dublin. The blaze broke out in the early hours of Wednesday, 08 March, at a complex in the Clondalkin area. The 27-year-old woman and two children, aged two and three, were taken from the scene to Tallaght Hospital but were pronounced dead.
