ESRI Publish Report On Rent Trends

New figures on rental prices show that in Dublin rents rose by 2.1% in the last three months of 2013, with apartments rising by 3.1% in the same period.

The ESRI report was produced on behalf of the Private Residential Tenancies Board.

The report says that in recent years rental growth has weakened in the fourth quarter (October to December), following high activity levels in Quarter 3 (July to September), consistent with the demand for student accommodation in that time period.

And while the current report follows the same trend, it also found that nationally rents were 3.3% higher than in the final quarter of 2012.

The full report can be found here.
